Assertion Journal on Life, Liberty, And The Pursuit Of Happiness by Andrew Sullivan

I agree with Andrew Sullivan in that the government is there to help protect the rights, which include Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, of the citizens. I also believe that liberty and life are things that everyone should have the right to enjoy and embrace. Sullivan also says that he believes in property, the pursuit of happiness, and that all of this things should be guaranteed by the countries government. Sullivan is using all of these examples from the Declaration of Independence of the United States and it is something that he really likes. He loves the idea of the declaration of Independence and is using it to base what he believes a government should be doing to help its people. He believe that a government that promises nothing more then being fully human is a good government even if it does not guarantee success. Our government does not guarantee success just like he says. Many people in our country fail everyday but if you fail you can just get back up and try again there is no law making sure you succeed and that is one thing that Andrew Sullivan really like about America.
