A: Always Go to the Funeral

Deirdre Sullivan tells us the importance of going to a funeral in this article. Although it is an event that most people do not like to attend, they always do. You go to a funeral to show respect for the deceased and to show support to their family. I agree with Deirdre Sullivan on the importance of attending a funeral and like her I have had times when I really did not want to attend them, however I always go. Although funerals can be a sad and depressing time its important you go to show that you cared. Like Deirdre Sullivan I also never really realized the importance of attending a funeral until I lost someone close to me. When my grandfather passed away I remember sitting in the church, amazed by all the people that came. Many of his friends were also old and couldn’t get around well, and when I saw that they took the effort to attend his funeral made me feel good. Them all taking the effort to come showed me how much my grandfather meant to so many people and it showed that all these people were their to support me and my family during our difficult time. Ever since this funeral I have made sure to always go to the funeral, and to help show my support during other people’s time of grief.
