a- "America's Beauty is in its Diversity" by Alaa El-Saad

Along with Alaa El-Saad, I believe in being different. No one in the world is exactly the same. That is the beauty of the world and just America by itself. America was in fact first settled by immigrants from all over the world and people are to coming to America for different countries to this day. Nowadays, most people think being different means that you are an outcast or have a unique sense of style. To be different means to be like El-Saad and show your true heritage, culture, or religion. It means to not be afraid of going out on a limb and expressing a belief that may be the exact opposite of something your friends believe. It means not making bad choices just because everyone else is. It means that you should be yourself no matter what people think.
When I see immature students making fun of people that are different, it makes me upset. I strongly believe that people poke fun because they are ordinary, and there is nothing special about them. When you are different, you attract all kinds of people who probably would never have spoken to you otherwise. If you can be different in a sea of ordinary people then you are one who will reap the benefits.
