Yet again, I had another sleepless night. Today friend is making me go to this “Musical Therapy” session. I think she’s crazy though. I don’t see how it can help me! I like music just as much as the next person, but I don’t believe it can cure my insomnia, or the pain that’s in my right leg. If FDA approved and tested medicines don’t relieve my pain or insomnia, why would a single song work? I might as well go. I mean, I have nothing to lose. Well, besides more sleep that is.

So I am on my third day of this music therapy stuff. I don’t know why I was so against it when we started! I was a little skeptical I guess. I didn’t think that music could really help me with my pain or my insomnia but it turns out the music helps a lot. The music works better than any medication my doctors have given me! I’m still quite surprised the music therapy actually works. It’s almost like when I’m trying to go to sleep, and the music starts playing, I get into this state where I’m relaxed and I can actually sleep. This state carries on through the whole night too! I find that I’m a lot less stressed as well. Who would have thought that music could completely turn my life around?
