Assertion--- Response to Penn Jillette essay There is no God
I find it harder to believe that there is no God than the other way around. The book of Isaiah is filled with prophecies that predict the coming of Jesus. Why would you not want to believe that there is someone out there watching out for you? Disbelief is just so much less fun than believing there is some one out there with all encompassing power. When you believe you get to wonder what God is like. You get to wonder what it is like living outside of time and space. You get to think about what spending an eternity in Heaven is like versus spending an eternity in Hell. The fact is some of the best things in life are just out of reach.
