There Is No Job More Important than Parenting- (A)

While reading Benjamin Carson’s “There Is No Job More Important than Parenting”, I was surprise on how Benjamin Carson and I were alike. Like Benjamin Carson, I always wanted to become a pediatrician since I was a kid. My mother is also a domestic, like Benjamin Carson’s mother, who always pushes me to do better academically. Believe me; a B- is like a D+ to my mother. I think her reasons for doing this is so that I can take advantage for the opportunities she did not have. My mother works long, tiring hours just to pay for the bills and have food on the table. Yet, like most of other teenagers, we just take advantage of it. Once our parents order us to do our chores or restrict us to go to that party, our appreciation for our parents just vanishes. We are often too self-absorbed to realize how much our parents do for us. This is why I agree with Benjamin Carson that there is no job more important than parenting. It is true. Parents are the ones that support us throughout our lives, and prepare us for the real world. We often go to our parents for advice, and they never let us down. They are the ones that know what to do when we are sad or angry. We cannot imagine how hard it to be a parent is, but we can just be grateful for the sacrifices our parents make us.
