This is a response to RobbyK Post on the article “I Am Still the Greatest” by Mohammed Ali.
I completely agree with Kidby’s assertion that Mohammed Ali needs more humility. Mohamed Ali is cocky and arrogant. He may be a skilled boxer but that does not give him the right to say he is the greatest in the world. I admire athletes like Jason Lezak, who almost single handed won the 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay. Although this was a titanic feat, he did not take all the credit for himself. He still remained humble and gave credit to his teammates by saying. "People always step up and do things out of the ordinary at the Olympics." Mohammed Ali needs to take heed of Lezak’s example. It is not words that make a great athlete; it is attitude combined with actions. I know that may sound a little cliché, but it is true. Saying that you are the greatest does not make you great. Mohammed Ali was a great boxer but his attitude is definitely not “The Greatest”.
