why to own an unwashed car

In response to I Didn’t Wash My Car Last Month by Jeff

For those who religiously wash their car every weekend; that’s great, but seriously, how do you benefit from that? The International Carwash Association estimated that 16 percent of car owners never wash their cars. If you think about it, there are really more reasons not to wash your car, than to waste your time, money and currently pain-free back on a shiny car.

Many people may try to dissuade you from this lifestyle saying it’s gross and lazy. The website of the gated community known as “The Summit”, says that an unwashed car is a signal to robbers that a home’s owners are on vacation, but a knowledgeable source (Jeff Foxworthy) thinks differently. [On why criminals rob nice-looking houses] Because criminals know that when they see a house with 2 foot tall grass, a dog on a chain, and an engine hanging from a tree, a gun lives in that house. And if you want to know what kind, just break in at 2 in the morning.” Obviously the owners of this free insurance plan do not have a washed car. According to drivetheamericas.com, an unwashed car is less appealing to thieves, stands out less on the road, and “Throwing some mud over the license plate can help disguise your foreign plates.”

Not washing your car benefits your community by providing gossip, benefits your children by providing an art canvas (masterpieces have been made on dirty cars), and satisfies those who feel the urge to commit little acts of rebellion.

But alas, when you are old and sitting on your rocking chair, a washed car is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
