A: H1N1 vaccine issue

This post is in response to Sarah C.C.'s post on why the vaccination of the swine flu is important to the general public.

I agree strongly with Sarah's views. Why is it parents are choosing to risk their child's lives by not getting the swine flue vaccine? Considering that children are the most highly at risk of the population to be greatly affected by the flu, parents should take advantage of the fact that the vaccine is available too them. Although there have been some reported side effects, children should be administered the vaccine to protect themselves from future harm.

With the whole ordeal on some adverse side effects caused by the vaccine; the key word in that is some. It is not like everyone who takes the vaccine is seeing unprecedented changes or effects from the vaccine. Only a few amount of people out of all the vaccinated population is facing side effects. Isn't the small chance of getting a side effect worth the safety of your child from bigger problems throughout his life?

I strongly believe that if you fit the risk category of the swine flu you should take advantage of the vaccine. There is a much bigger risk of you catching the flu, than you facing side effects of the drug.
