Assertion to Evolution!

This is an assertion to “I am Evolution” by Holly Dunsworth.
I completely disagree with Holly’s approach to her belief in faith and hope.. She should not be comparing herself to the theory of evolution. If she is truly trying to bring up the issue of faith and hope, then she should lay her foundation on something more concrete than evolution.
Since Evolution has been through much political debate, even the thought of it can bring up a lot of controversy that can distract from her true message. I truly think that if she wanted to push her idea of faith and hope onto people, then she should compare it to the actual process of digging up things, instead of what the theories she gets from the stuff she digs up.
I agree with the point Holly is trying to present. I think faith and hope are two of the strongest attributes a person can have. Without them a person would not be able to work tirelessly after his or her goal day in and day out. Hope and faith can make things like homework and exercising seem meaningful, because of the idea of what the results are. Because of Hope Thomas Edison was able to work relentlessly to create the light bulb. He tried almost 1000 times to make a successful light bulb, yet he never gave up. That is simply true hope, and without an attribute like that things would never get done.

  1. I agree that Holly Dunsworth presents the material in a way that is totally contradictory to what point she is trying to make. She uses the theory of evolution to express how hope and faith are the driving force of people. Holly Dunsworth expresses her point with a topic that can be misleading and can make it sound like she is saying something else. She uses the concept of evolution to show how it incoperates into an idea that she doesnt believe in but does at the same time. She contradicts herself by saying, "I dont believe in evolution, just evolution is." She expresses that even though she does not believe IN evolution but says that it is, shows that she does believe in evolution, even if it is not a strong belief, she still believes in the idea and that is faith. Even when she states that hope and faith are what drives a person, which is a true fact, she expresses her idea in a way that hides that point.
