Assertion Journal

In response to The Case Against Television Advertising by Thomas Wayburn from http://dematerialism.net/Mini-Essays.html#_Toc89956621

While I could agree with what this guy has to say about television ads being deceitful and in bad taste, he really needs to get a grip. TV avertising is just another way to sell a product, and if that helps to increase spending and accelerate the economy then there's nothing wrong with it. Mr. Wayburn attacks familiar product advertisements with no apparent reason. If he doesn't like watching advertisements, then instead of complaining about it he just shouldn't watch them. There are a lot better things to to try and start a cause against.
