In case I didnt mention with my "How to Write a Letter" essay, I thought I would hint at the importance and some other things that make a letter worth the time. Most think that letters are just a form of e-mail or phone conversations, but in actuallity the written letter is a source of emotion and dedication towards the person you are sending it to. When you get a letter in the mail, it is extremely more excited and exuberating then an e-mail or a conversation over the phone, for it gives the reader or the recipient the satisfaction that you cared enough to take the time to write out a note to them. Letters have the importance of making a conversation more interesting and more thoughtful, then as it would in other ways and learning how to write one is an important tool as well. When you begin writing the letter, you would want to start off with a nice simple greeting like, "How are you." "How has work be going for you" or "What have you been up to since last time." These simple greetings will help you to get started on writing your letter. To continue on, you would want to start talking about what important things in your life you have been doing or fond memories about you and the other person. Write just how you would normally, as if you were sitting right across from them and conversing with them. Use some slang, use some fancy words, just remember to be yourself when writing the letter, and to make it sound like your actually talking to them right there on the page. When you want to end the letter, just make some statements to, "It would be nice to have you over some time" or "I would love to hear more about whats going on in your life" or even "I would love to hear back from you, to see how you've been." Writing the letter itself shows a lot of meaning in itself, so remember when you write a letter, be sure to be yourself and let the other person know how you've been or whats on your mind.
Hope that these extra tips help in you all in writing that letter of yours, for you can not pick up the phone and call the future and tell them about our times, you have to pick up a piece of paper.
