Assertion- wild animals are better off in the wild

Police shoot chimp after rampage wounds U.S. woman

This article was about the shooting of a chimp, who has endagering policemen after mauling its owner's friend. When I read this article I wondered why the owner even had a pet chimp. Apperently, it was treated like a child in her house and was able to do things like search the internet and drink wine (don't ask me why). This is proof that animals that are not domesticated species, do not belong in a typical home the way golden retrievers or tabby cats are. No matter how much we try, the best place for these animals is their natural habitat, or one designed to suit their natural needs. Yes, they can adapt, but is this what is best for them? No, chimps are not human (no offense to chimps) and therefore have different needs.
